New Year: Sacred Sojourn and Coastal Adventures :
Embarking on a New Year road trip from Pune was a captivating journey, weaving together spiritual serenity and coastal marvels.
From the divine tranquillity of Pandharpur Temple to the historical splendours of Sindhudurg Fort, each day unfolded a unique tapestry of exploration and joy.
Day 1: Pune to Pandharpur Temple – A Spiritual Odyssey
28th December 2023: Our trip started with a scenic 6-hour drive to the revered Pandharpur Temple.
The divine aura and serene surroundings elevated our darshan experience, leaving an indelible mark on our souls.
Continuing our spiritual sojourn, we proceeded to Akkalkot to offer prayers at the sacred Swami Smarth Temple, culminating the day with a peaceful stay at a local hotel.
Day 2: Akalkot to Tulja Bhawani Temple in Tuljapur – Divine Energies Unleashed
29th December 2023: The journey unfolded with a visit to Tulja Bhawani Temple in Tuljapur, where the divine energy left an enduring impact.
Post-darshan, we set our course for Kolhapur, where the spiritual vibes continued at the Mahalaxmi Temple. After seeking blessings, we retreated to a comfortable hotel for the night.
We even went to the Mahalaxmi temple, in the morning, for the “morning aarti”.
Day 3-4: Malvan Beach Bliss – Aquatic Adventures and Historical Marvels
Our road trip took an exhilarating turn upon reaching the coastal haven of Malvan.
3oth December 2023: Day one unfolded as a water enthusiast’s dream, featuring scuba diving and snorkelling adventures that immersed us in Malvan’s underwater beauty.
31st December 2023: The second day was dedicated to exploring the historic Sindhudurg Fort, accessed via a picturesque ferry ride.
In the evening we went the the famous ” Jai Ganesh Temple”, built by the creator of the “Kalnirnay” calendar and an astrologer, Jayantrao Salgaonkar.
Day 5: Homeward Bound – Navigating Scenic Routes
On 1st January 2024, as the New Year dawned, we bid adieu to the coastal paradise and set our GPS for the journey back home to Pune.
The scenic route back was seamlessly navigated with the aid of Google Maps, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable return trip.
In Conclusion
Our New Year road trip harmoniously blended spirituality, cultural exploration, and coastal wonders.
From the sacred precincts of Pandharpur and Akkalkot to the coastal charms of Malvan, each destination added a unique flavour to our memorable journey.
On the last day of our trip,as our legs were paining we even tried this ..
As we embraced the road and its diverse experiences, the echoes of temple bells
and the rhythmic waves of the Arabian Sea became lasting memories,
marking a perfect start to the New Year.
